Following last year's alleged goof up in the evaluation of answer sheetsfor the Class XII board exams, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is looking at ways to make the process error free.
On Monday, the board sent a circular asking all its affiliated schools to send their regular and experienced teachers to ensure quality and error-free evaluation of exam papers and timely declaration of results. Schools that do not follow the board's directive may get disaffiliated, the CBSE circular stated.
"Smooth and efficient conduct of Class X and XII examination along with the declaration of results on time and with accuracy has always been the foremost endeavour of the board," read the board circular.
"It has been observed in the past that the schools are not cooperating with the board in nominating or deputing and relieving their regular and experienced teachers for the board's evaluation process for the full duration. The direction of the board in this regard are not being followed by the schools in letter and spirit," it added.
